Ashley + Jun | Pahoa Small Intimate Wedding on the Big island, HAWAII
Ashley and Jun’s wedding day was quite literally an adventure. They started their day with an array of breakfast foods before they went and got ready in separate rooms.
Fun Fact : Hilo is actually the rainiest place in the United States, so it’s not surprising that we were met with light showers all day. However – in the Hawaiian culture, rain on your wedding day is actually considered a blessing!
They had their intimate ceremony inside, to share that special moment with all of their friends and family back home that weren’t able to make it to Hawaii. It was sweet, full of laughter, inside jokes and full of tears.
After the ceremony and a short film illustrating their love story, how they met, how Jun proposed and their first couple of years together, the bridal couple and their guests headed off to a nearby beach for some portraits.
SURPRISE : it was a NUDE beach.
Although shocked at first, we just stuck to a corner of the beach and galavanted in the waves, under the rain. And at the end of the day, what an hilarious story to tell your children about your wedding day.
