WHAT A DAY THIS WAS. Finding this Waterfall on Big Island was like hitting Jackpot!! I take pride in finding locations that are perfect and unique to my couple.

Paul (the videographer) and I picked up Leslie and Steven from their Airbnb in Kona at 6 am for their session at the waterfall on Big Island. Then Leslie stopped at her favorite cafe HiCo and treated us to some Ube lattes and vegan Lilikoi donuts. Just like that, we were ready to hit the road!

We drove all across the island, to our secret destination. Although the forecast mentioned it was supposed to be sunny that day, as soon as we parked it started raining. We told them that at any time, we could turn back and we had a few backup locations planned. But to our surprised, they pulled through and hiked the whole 4 hours in the pouring rain! What troopers!

Once we finally got to the waterfall Leslie put on her 20+feet flying dress and me and Paul got to work. With the weight of the water, trying to shake that train to create some movement was 100% a difficult workout! We got some AMAZING shots, then hiked back to the car, still in the pouring rain, and bonded on the car ride back home with snacks, and hot air being blasted in the car.

That’s why I also just love adventure sessions. It’s the perfect time to bond and to have so much quality time with my clients. By the end of it, you become friends and get to create some amazing memories! 🙂

I cant even begin to explain how incredible Bea is. First off, she is the kind of person that you would randomly run into on top of a mountain in some country, get to talk to her, and instantly become friends with.

After I proposed to my girlfriend Leslie, we couldn’t think of anyone else we would want to take our post wedding adventure photos. She was completely flexible the entire time and honestly just good and fun to be around. All of this is aside from the fact that she takes some epic amazing photos.
