I don’t know why I love capturing engagements so much. Maybe because no matter how long after the actual proposal happened, all those emotions come back to the surface, and you can visibly see the love bubble around my couples. They’re filled with bliss, and giddy.

Karla and Brandon met me for sunrise at Kiholo bay and were just too cute for words.

They met at work and became great friends after a two-week business trip in Shanghai. Although they would both travel frequently for work over the next few years, that trip would be the only one to which we would both be assigned together in the same location. Despite having different travel schedules, they became close friends and ultimately a couple (who kept their relationship a secret from our work friends for months!) They’re quite different in the way we think and move through the world but we find great comfort in the way we balance each other out. 

They have traveled a lot together but their most memorable trip to date would be island hopping in the Philippines. They did all of their favorite activities which includes scuba diving, snorkeling, surfing, canyoneering, relaxing on the beach and eating great local food. You can find the best adventurous versions of them near the water – which definitely shined through their engagement session!
