Helga and Helgi are the embodiment of an international love story.

Both from Norway – they met and fell in love back home before both moving to the US. Their elopement started a bit rough, from the marriage certificate and leis being forgotten and left behind at their hotel, and then their ring box being lost in the sand (just for a few minutes we eventually found it don’t worry), we were running almost a full hour behind schedule.

I was surprised that throughout it all, they just kept apologizing to me and being really worried about the circumstances. And although I really appreciated their respect for my time, I wondered if any other photographers would have reacted negatively to that situation for them to be so so worried.

I always tell me clients, for one, I only book one gig a day so that I may be able to focus only on that couple (or family). And also, that my priority is for my clients to be happy and relaxed during our sessions.
